The Brahmaso Humanitarian Aid Organization
The Brahmaso Humanitarian Aid Organization Brahmaso is the largest funeral assistance association in Mandalay. Founded on May 7, 1998, as the Brahmaso Social Assistance Association, it has served the community for decades. Daw Ama (Ludu) was among the founding patrons and offered early guidance to the association.Brahmaso not only provides free funeral services but also supports patients who cannot afford medical expenses. Today, the organization operates a clinic that offers free treatment to those in need. While the exact number of beneficiaries is unknown, the reach has been extensive and continues to grow.The current leadership includes: Chairperson: Prof. Dr. Nyein Nyein Secretary: U Maung Maung Tar Other executive members and medical professionals.
Brahmaso is funded through various sources, including individual donors, NGOs, and INGOs.
We ensure efficient and effective distribution of resources to meet urgent humanitarian needs—particularly in disaster zones and social welfare programs.

Brahmaso began as a volunteer-based community service group, even before the Funeral Aid Association in Yangon. It was established 3 to 5 years earlier and served as a model for similar initiatives across the country. Notably, U Thu Kha is said to have founded the Yangon association based on Brahmaso’s example.
